This is one of my favorite and most ‘me’ outfits. It’s a little bit preppy, a little bit boho, and super chic. That’s ‘me’ in a nutshell when I’m getting dressed. Sometimes I’m waaay more boho, sometimes i’m a lot more ‘city,’ but i’m never too preppy. Not my thing.
When I talk to new clients, I find that sometimes they’ve gone waaaay too far down the road of preppy because it’s an easy look to figure out, and it’s hard to mess it up. My advice is always the same to them – balance out your preppy with something edgy, something that takes the uber prep out of preppy. That’s what keeps an outfit interesting. Make sense?
So — I have owned this J.Crew blazer for like – literally 10 years maybe – and it has been a consistent closet go-to. Talk about price per wear!!!
I paired it with a new top from Boden that is a little bit boho, and will look every bit as cute with a pair of destructed denim shorts and flip flops this summer.
My shoes I got at a Saks Fifth Avenue warehouse sale last spring- and i’m STILL totally obsessed with them. They’re by Vince and the d’orsay style: nude in the front, navy in back, with a nice daytime friendly heel height.
My skinny jeans are basic, but a high waisted favorite by Citizens of Humanity.
Sunnies? Tom Ford of course.
